Belgian winger Leandro Trossard, a Premier League champion and Champions League runner-up with Arsenal last season, has finalized his transfer to Turkish giants Besiktas.
After spending three and a half seasons with the Gunners, where he contributed 36 goals and 34 assists in 174 appearances, the 31-year-old forward has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul for a medical examination and to complete the necessary administrative procedures for his move.
Arsenal confirmed a mutual agreement has been reached with Besiktas regarding the transfer fee, while the Istanbul-based club took to social media to unveil a photo of Trossard in his new black-and-white kit alongside club president Serdal Adali. The Belgian international has also made a significant impact on the international stage, scoring twice for his country at the World Cup, where Belgium reached the quarter-finals.
Trossard’s departure marks the end of a productive chapter at Arsenal, where he established himself as a key attacking option for the North London side. His arrival in Turkey represents a fresh challenge for the 31-year-old, who will now look to make his mark in the Süper Lig.
