Abdourahmane Diouf delivers sharp rebuke to Ousmane Sonko

Abdourahmane Diouf, the esteemed leader of the Awalé party, has publicly addressed the recent declarations made by Ousmane Sonko, who presides over the National Assembly, during his visit to Touba. In a message widely shared across various social media channels, Diouf, a former Minister of Higher Education, directly confronted Sonko, labeling him a “deputy dodger” who has nevertheless ascended to the prominent position of parliamentary Speaker.

Abdourahmane Diouf conveyed his message with striking candor, particularly within the current volatile political climate characterized by intense verbal exchanges between factions loyal to Diomaye and those supporting Sonko. He emphatically stated: “The intricacies of procedure seem to elude your grasp, preventing you from comprehending their true substance; the moral principles you disseminate ultimately suffocate you, given your profound inability to embody them; analytical rigor collapses under the weight of a glaring intellectual void; and truth gives way to flagrant manipulation, laying the groundwork for a superficial revolution utterly devoid of any coherent leadership.” These potent criticisms were attributed to the current Minister of Energy.
