President Alassane Ouattara is preparing to implement a series of structural modifications within the Rassemblement des houphouëtistes pour la démocratie et la paix (RHDP), the ruling party in Côte d’Ivoire.
According to recent reports, the Ivorian leader detailed these upcoming changes to the party’s presidium during a high-level meeting held on May 7 in Abidjan. The objective of this reorganization is to tighten internal management and ensure greater cohesion among party members.
The proposed reforms involve the establishment of several new internal bodies. Key among these are a formal disciplinary council and a general inspectorate specifically dedicated to overseeing the party’s operations and maintaining order within the ranks.
