The appointment of Honorable Rolande Ngo Issi, a prominent Deputy from the PCRN, marks a significant moment for Cameroon’s political landscape, as her party gains a foothold in national governance alongside the ruling RDPC.

The appointment of Honorable Rolande Ngo Issi, a Deputy from the PCRN representing Nyong and Kellé, as a member of the Superior Council of Magistracy, was officially confirmed through a presidential decree issued on June 2, 2026. This development signifies the Parti Camerounais pour la Réconciliation Nationale (PCRN), led by Cabral Libii, now plays a direct role in national governance alongside the ruling Rassemblement Démocratique du Peuple Camerounais (RDPC).

Among the distinguished individuals also appointed to this esteemed council are Sali Dahirou, former Minister of Public Service, and Deputy Soppo Toute Marlyse of Wouri, representing the RDPC. The list further includes Claude Francis Moukouri, previously the Vice President of the Special Criminal Court (TCS), alongside Albert Ekono Nna, Engelbert Bengono, Mekoulou Cunégonde Christine épouse Ngotty, and Roger Sockeng, among others.

Born in Yaoundé on January 9, 1981, Rolande Ngo Issi holds a multifaceted career. She serves as a Deputy in the National Assembly and has now been appointed an alternate member of the Superior Council of Magistracy by President Paul Biya. Her leadership extends to her role as Deputy Secretary-General of the Network of Women Parliamentarians of Cameroon, a member of the national steering committee of the PCRN, and the party’s regional Secretary-General for the Centre region.

Since April 2016, she has also been the national president of the Mouvement National des Consommateurs (MNC), a consumer advocacy group. Academically, Rolande Ngo Issi is well-credentialed, holding a Master’s degree in Child Psychology from the University of Yaoundé 1 – Nkoa Ekele, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Yaoundé 2 – Soa, and a diploma from the École Normale Supérieure (ENS). Her influential presence is also felt across social media platforms, where she actively champions Cameroonian youth and entrepreneurship, inspiring thousands.

Recently, Rolande Ngo Issi made a notable intervention during the parliamentary debate on budget orientation. She critically questioned the government’s capacity to implement import substitution policies effectively. “Import substitution is a term that caught my attention last year during the same exercise. So, let’s be frank, what can the State truly achieve six months later? Without electrical energy, without stable internet connectivity and good quality communication network, especially in this era of digital expansion, not to mention a multiple and suffocating tax system, and without fair justice?” she challenged during her address.

Furthermore, she directly addressed the Minister of Finance regarding the issue of police officers who have not received their salary advancements since 2017. “It certainly does not escape you that since 2017, no salary advancement has been processed for the Police, while in the army, it is automatic,” she emphasized, highlighting a significant disparity.

Prior to her political career, Rolande Ngo Issi demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit. She is a personal development coach and also spent 11 years as a teacher in rural areas, underscoring her commitment to community and personal growth.
