Abdoul Ahad Ndiaye Critique Ousmane Sonko’s Touba Visit

Minister of Land Transport and Aeronautics Abdoul Ahad Ndiaye has responded to President Ousmane Sonko’s visit to Touba, where the Head of Pastef claimed that stolen money had been injected into the city.

Ndiaye said Sonko’s statements constituted « a lack of respect unacceptable towards Touba, its inhabitants and the values of Mouridism ». He believes it is essential to « deeply misunderstand Touba and its spiritual heritage to assimilate its populations to receivers of stolen money ».

Ndiaye also praised President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, who he described as « an attentive leader, deeply attached to his country and entirely devoted to the service of the Nation ». He said Faye works every day to bring concrete answers to the concerns of Touba’s inhabitants.

Ndiaye expressed support for Prime Minister Mouhamadou Al Amine Lo, whom he believed was working hard to unlock several stalled files and accomplish a remarkable work under the authority of the head of state.

He also urged Senegalese to put aside their political differences and come together around the essential issues: developing the country and improving living conditions for its population. Ndiaye reaffirmed his trust in President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, describing him as « an honest man, deeply attached to his homeland and entirely dedicated to serving the Nation ».
