The Supreme Court in N’Djamena is under tight military and police surveillance today, with National Guard, gendarmerie, and police units securing the premises.
Entry to the court complex is heavily restricted, with journalists and camera crews denied access to the hearing room.
Inside a confined chamber far from the public eye, the hearing is underway between the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and a team of ten defense attorneys representing Dr. Succès Masra, leader of the Transformers party.
The session focuses on the cassation appeal filed by Masra’s defense team against the August 9, 2025 ruling by the Criminal Chamber of the Appeals Court, which sentenced Masra to 20 years in prison.
