Mankono, Côte d’Ivoire – The departmental secretariat of the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP) for Mankono commune and sub-prefecture successfully concluded its political re-entry on July 17 and 18, 2026. The two-day event focused on a comprehensive review of the 2025 elections, extensive training for party members, and a concerted effort to invigorate grassroots structures across the region.
Cissé Namory, the RHDP departmental secretary whose political jurisdiction encompasses both Mankono commune and its sub-prefecture, emphatically reiterated the unwavering commitment of Béré region activists. Their collective objective, he stated, is to tirelessly work towards fortifying the presidential party’s influence and presence.
During the proceedings, Namory expressed profound satisfaction with the RHDP’s decisive victory in the recent legislative elections within his political department, specifically highlighting the success of Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité. However, he also voiced concern regarding instances of indiscipline observed among certain party members, suggesting that such behaviors had, at times, received tacit support from some party executives.
“We bear a fundamental duty of sincerity towards our activists to safeguard the cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he declared, issuing a firm call for enhanced discipline and unity within the RHDP ranks.
The political re-entry was structured around two pivotal segments. The inaugural day featured an insightful reflection seminar, themed: “Learning from the last ballot and defining the trajectory for the new militant cycle.”
A highlight of this occasion was a compelling conference led by Professor Soro David, the deputy national secretary in charge of political structures for the RHDP. His presentation delved into “The contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the advancement of the Béré region.”
Professor Soro meticulously detailed the significant achievements recorded across the Béré region under the PND 2021-2025, before outlining the promising prospects offered by the forthcoming PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region has greatly benefited from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” he affirmed, citing numerous planned projects spanning the vital sectors of education, health, and infrastructure.
Professor Soro also commended the dedication of regional executives and citizens who stand firmly alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active involvement serves as a crucial catalyst for Béré’s ongoing development and plays a vital role in strengthening governmental initiatives throughout this part of Côte d’Ivoire.
