Dr Abdourahmane Diouf, Minister of Petroleum and Energy, recently made a bombshell revelation during a high-profile interview on RS1, hosted by Migui Marième Ndiaye. He disclosed details about the 1.77 billion CFA francs in secret funds that Ousmane Sonko held during his tenure as Prime Minister. But the minister didn’t stop there.

According to Diouf, Sonko reportedly requested an additional allocation after exhausting the allocated political funds. However, a critical question lingers: was this request ever approved? More critically, the origin of this sensitive information remains shrouded in mystery. If verified, this revelation could only have come from two individuals: the President of the Republic or the Minister of Budget.
