Tchad microfinance finafdev placed into liquidation by cobac

The Banking Commission of Central Africa (COBAC) has revoked the operating license of Financial Development Chad (FINADEV Tchad S.A.), a second-tier microfinance institution headquartered in N’Djamena.

In an official announcement dated May 21, COBAC confirmed its disciplinary decision, which was made effective on February 5, 2026, stripping FINADEV Tchad of its microfinance license.

Following the notification of this ruling, FINADEV Tchad S.A. has been formally placed into liquidation procedures.

The liquidation process is mandated to conclude within a maximum period of one year, with the possibility of extension if circumstances require.
