Abdourahmane Diouf delivers sharp critique of Ousmane Sonko’s remarks on president diomaye faye

In response to the recent public statements made by Pastef leader Ousmane Sonko concerning President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, Abdourahmane Diouf offered a forthright and unreserved critique, leaving no doubt about his disapproval.

“Ah, Senegal!” Diouf exclaimed, reflecting on the current political climate. He elaborated on the consequences when a parliamentarian ascends to a prominent position within the National Assembly without a genuine mastery of legislative processes. “Such an individual finds themselves overwhelmed by procedural demands, and the very moral principles they preach ultimately stifle them due to an inability to embody those values. Moreover, the rigor of analytical thought vanishes, overshadowed by a concerning intellectual emptiness.”

Diouf further asserted that under these conditions, authentic truth is supplanted by blatant manipulation, fostering the illusion of a revolutionary movement that lacks true direction or consistent leadership.

He concluded his impassioned address by reaffirming his steadfast devotion to the nation’s core institutions, declaring emphatically: “The Republic! Nothing but the Republic!”
