Six Béninois election experts from the Commission électorale nationale autonome (CENA) are undergoing intensive training in New Delhi this week, focusing on artificial intelligence applications for electoral processes. The five-day program, running from July 6 to 10, 2026, brings together election administrators from across Africa to explore cutting-edge digital solutions for modernizing voting systems.

Organized by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program, the training covers critical areas such as:

- Ethical and human rights considerations in deploying AI systems
