The heated verbal confrontation between Waly Diouf Bodian and Madiambal Diagne has escalated following a contentious report concerning Ousmane Sonko. Bodian, accusing the journalist of fabricating narratives, hints at another compelling chapter in Senegal’s ongoing media influence struggle.

The verbal sparring between Waly Diouf Bodian and Madiambal Diagne has intensified once again.
Responding to a recent piece by Madiambal Diagne regarding Ousmane Sonko, the Director of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, Waly Diouf Bodian, did not hold back his strong opinions.
In a particularly sharp statement, Bodian accused the well-known journalist of propagating misinformation and crafting fictitious accounts.
“Madiambal, an accomplished fabulist, has once again concocted a tale, a skill only he truly possesses,” Bodian asserted.
He continued his scathing remarks, adding, “The purveyor of falsehoods exhibits a sinister talent for spreading nonsense. He would undoubtedly excel as a screenwriter for fantasy films.”
This latest verbal clash further fuels the persistent tensions observed between certain influential government figures and the journalist, who remains a highly active participant in Senegal’s public discourse.
