The Republic of Chad and Turkey are actively exploring an advanced technological collaboration, primarily focused on enhancing national security, bolstering cybersecurity defenses, and creating significant opportunities for the nation’s youth, spearheaded by IF Elektronik Ltd.

Chad-Turkey technological cooperation for security

On May 14, 2026, a significant meeting took place as Chad’s Ministry of Public Security and Immigration welcomed representatives from the Turkish firm, IF Elektronik Ltd. The discussions centered on enhancing technological collaboration, with a particular emphasis on bolstering national security. Key areas explored included advanced digital security solutions, strategies to counter the illicit trade of mobile devices, and robust cybersecurity measures. Furthermore, the dialogue also addressed avenues for creating employment opportunities for Chadian youth within these burgeoning tech sectors. 

Benguela Guidjinga, the Secretary-General, conveyed considerable enthusiasm for the innovative proposals presented by the Turkish delegation. He highlighted specific interest in pioneering methods for mobile equipment control and strengthening border security infrastructure. This emerging technological alliance is viewed as a crucial pathway for Chad to acquire new skills, facilitate knowledge transfer, and stimulate broader economic growth across the nation.
