Chad enforces ban on military attire for forestry agents

The Ministry of Environment, Fisheries, and Sustainable Development has issued a strict directive prohibiting forestry agents from wearing military uniforms, insignia, ranks, berets, or any other military attributes.

Signed by Secretary-General Koularambaye Koundja Julien, the circular addresses concerns over some agents—both military personnel on assignment and civilian staff—adopting gear exclusively reserved for members of Chad’s National Army (ANT).

The new regulation takes immediate effect, with department heads instructed to enforce compliance. Violations will result in disciplinary action.
