The President of Chad, His Excellency Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, returned to N’Djamena late yesterday evening following an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Strategic discussions in Abu Dhabi
During his stay, the Chadian leader held two key meetings with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. The first discussion took place at the UAE Presidential Palace, while the second occurred at the Marshal’s residence in Abu Dhabi.
These talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two nations, particularly in areas of mutual interest such as energy, security, and economic development.
Warm welcome back in N’Djamena
Upon his arrival at N’Djamena International Airport, President Déby was greeted by a high-ranking delegation. Present were Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, multiple government officials, the Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Personal Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Private Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
