Festivities in Paris after France’s world cup win calm with few arrests

According to security sources, the festive atmosphere remained largely peaceful throughout the night, despite isolated incidents.

In the capital and nearby suburbs, spontaneous gatherings formed as jubilant fans took to the streets to mark the win. While most events unfolded without disruption, authorities noted isolated instances of pyrotechnic use and minor disturbances in select areas. Ten individuals were taken into custody in connection with the celebrations, with charges ranging from petty theft to violent behavior and illegal fireworks deployment.
