Ivorian president alassane ouattara back in Abidjan after Kenya visit
President Alassane Ouattara of Côte d’Ivoire landed back in Abidjan on Saturday, May 23, 2026, concluding his participation in the prestigious Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi.
Upon his arrival, the Ivorian head of state received a warm welcome from a delegation of high-ranking officials. Those present to greet him included Vice-President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, numerous government ministers, key members of the presidential cabinet, and prominent administrative and military figures, all keen to mark his return from the international trip.
The primary objective of this significant mission to Kenya was to bolster the cooperative ties between Côte d’Ivoire and the East African nation.
During his time abroad, President Ouattara engaged in high-level discussions encompassing critical economic, diplomatic, and security matters.
