Abidjan, July 9, 2026 – The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group dedicated to investors kicked off today in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, chaired by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of this gathering as a pivotal step in mobilizing private investments essential for executing the nation’s development agenda. “Today marks another milestone in our journey to foster investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. We are delighted to welcome over 700 investors from friendly nations who have joined this critical dialogue,” he stated.
Addressing a packed audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, the Head of Government emphasized the event’s role as a strategic platform for collaboration. It serves both as a forum for constructive engagement with private sector stakeholders and as a means to align on a unified vision for progress.
“Your commitment alongside us reflects the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory and its growth potential,” he remarked. “You are indispensable partners in turning our vision into reality—one that champions a more competitive economy and the creation of meaningful employment opportunities. The success of this ambition hinges on your willingness to invest in our shared future.”
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the country’s economic resilience, citing its robust performance over recent years—achieving an average growth rate of 6.5% amid global uncertainties—and solidifying its status as one of Africa’s most vibrant economies.
“This is an economy on the rise, offering unprecedented opportunities,” he declared. “Today’s discussions will focus on accelerating investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition, the expansion of critical infrastructure—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to bolster competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will propel a more productive and inclusive economy.”
He also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.
In a show of solidarity, leaders from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the CGEM in Morocco and President of the Africa Committee of MEDEF France, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
