Military Operations Yield Significant Gains Against Militant Groups
The Malian army has announced that it has killed over 100 armed men during military operations carried out with the support of its partners in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat.
According to a statement released by the Army, these operations targeted fighters affiliated with the ‘Al-Nusra for Islam and Muslims’ group and the ‘Front for the Liberation of Azawad’, and included 13 aerial strikes that also destroyed six combat vehicles and one pickup truck.
The army stated that these operations took place on Tuesday as part of its ongoing campaign against militant groups across different regions of the country, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining discipline and firmness in its military efforts with its partners.
According to a statement published on ‘X’, the Africa Corps said that these operations led to the destruction and burning of a significant number of vehicles used by militants, adding that one drone belonging to the Corps targeted another vehicle transporting munitions and military equipment.
The Russia-based Africa Corps also stated that these operations fit into the framework of successful joint operations carried out with Malian forces against militant groups in the region, affirming its continued focus on targeting militant positions and equipment.
