The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) announced on Thursday that their coordinated military operations, conducted with allied partners, resulted in the elimination of nearly a hundred armed fighters in the regions of Anfif and Tabrachat, located in the northern part of the country.
In an official statement, the army detailed that the targeted operations were directed against members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA). The operations included 13 airstrikes, which also led to the destruction of six armored vehicles and one pickup truck.
The FAMA further explained that these actions took place on Tuesday and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their military campaign against armed groups across multiple regions. The statement emphasized the disciplined and resolute approach of their forces, carried out in close collaboration with their partners.
The Africa Corps shared on their X platform that the operations had successfully destroyed and set ablaze a significant number of militant vehicles. They also noted that one of their drones had struck another vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment.
The Russian Africa Corps corroborated the effectiveness of these joint efforts, describing them as fruitful coordinated operations with the Malian army against regional armed groups. They pledged to persist in targeting militant positions and equipment to sustain the momentum of these security measures.
