Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS’ strategic acquisition of SICTA in Côte d’Ivoire

The holding company, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, has formally declared its acquisition of SICTA, the Société Ivoirienne de Contrôle Technique Automobile. SICTA stands as the long-standing leader in Côte d’Ivoire’s automotive technical inspection sector.

During a press gathering in Abidjan on April 29, David Fofana, the CEO of Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, elaborated on the SICTA takeover and the significant progress achieved in the year following its integration.

By incorporating SICTA, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS gains a rich legacy of five decades of specialized experience, simultaneously infusing it with a renewed drive for innovation.

A primary goal articulated by the management is to substantially enhance the user experience. This objective appears highly achievable, considering Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS Group’s proven track record. For instance, with the introduction of Mayelia Automotive, the group successfully cut waiting times to just 30 minutes, establishing new benchmarks for service excellence within the industry.

The company is committed to aligning with the government’s “Zéro complaisance” policy, thereby positioning itself as a crucial partner for the State in bolstering road safety and mitigating road fatalities.

Beyond its involvement in automotive technical inspections, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has evolved into a rapidly expanding multisectoral group. It is driven by a strong pan-African vision and a strategic approach centered on the synergy across its diverse operations. Currently active in two countries, the Group oversees six subsidiaries engaged in vital sectors, including mobility through Mayelia Mobilité, technology via CIEIRIA, and training with Mayelia Academy. This is in addition to its core technical control entities: Mayelia Automotive Côte d’Ivoire, Mayelia Automotive Guinée, and SICTA.
