PastEF’s jolof outreach: sonko inaugurates new party headquarters in linguère

The PASTEF-Les Patriotes party recently concluded a dynamic two-day political engagement across the Jolof region. This extensive tour, spearheaded by party leader Ousmane Sonko and accompanied by Minister of State Habib Sy, along with numerous national executives and coalition allies, spanned all 19 communes of the Linguère department, from Dahra to Barkédji, including key stops in Sagatta and Yang-Yang.

A highlight of the visit involved crucial meetings with local religious and traditional authorities, alongside active participation from the party’s grassroots structures, encompassing its youth, women’s, and executive movements. Following this significant mobilization, the local party leadership formalized its strategic roadmap for upcoming initiatives. The inauguration of the departmental headquarters and the commencement of membership card distribution signal PASTEF’s clear intent to strengthen its territorial presence through a community-focused approach across the department’s villages and neighborhoods.

In parallel with this internal organizational drive, local political officials are extending an open invitation for unity. They are calling upon militants, sympathizers, and political actors from other affiliations to join their overarching vision for regional development, further solidifying the party’s reach in this vital West Africa insider news region.
