The Collectif des descendants de Serigne Touba has filed a legal complaint against Ousmane Sonko, accusing him of spreading false information and defamation. The plaintiffs are represented by Me Aboubacry Barro, as confirmed by Babacar Malick on platform X.
This legal action stems from recent remarks attributed to Ousmane Sonko, in which he alleged that funds had been channeled to Touba recently. He claimed this money was derived from the country’s resources and constituted stolen funds.
Further, he asserted that this financial influx was not intended for political purposes but would instead be used to meet unspecified political demands.
