US and Chad deepen ties on security and economic collaboration

Deputy Secretary of State for African Affairs Frank Garcia met with Chad’s Ambassador to the United States, Mahamat Tahir Orozi, at the State Department in Washington, D.C. This high-level discussion took place ahead of the upcoming U.S. Independence Day celebrations and the commemoration of 66 years of diplomatic relations with Chad next month.
The talks focused on bolstering security cooperation, deepening economic ties, and encouraging private sector investment between the two nations. Both leaders emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue to address shared challenges and unlock new opportunities for collaboration.
