The Algerian delegation from Sonelgaz International has concluded its three-day working visit to N’Djamena, where it assessed the site for a new 50 MW power plant. This high-level mission, focused on advancing the project, was hosted by Chad’s Minister of Water and Energy, who organized a farewell dinner in their honor at a local hotel.
The evening was marked by traditional dances, a shared buffet, and a ceremonial cake-cutting, underscoring the strong ties between Chad and Algeria. Following intensive technical discussions and on-site inspections, the Sonelgaz team expressed its commitment to supporting Chad in expanding its energy production and ensuring better electricity access for its people.
Chadian officials hailed the project as a significant act of solidarity, reinforcing the already robust partnership between the two nations. The event concluded with the exchange of symbolic gifts, symbolizing the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.
