Côte d’Ivoire rallies global investors to accelerate 2026-2030 development vision
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group convened in Abidjan on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This high-profile gathering brought together over 700 investors from allied nations to explore opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation.

The Prime Minister opened the session by emphasizing the pivotal role of private investment in driving the nation’s development agenda. “This session marks a critical milestone in our consultative process, focusing on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” he stated. “We are delighted to welcome more than 700 investors who have traveled from friendly countries to join this initiative.”
Addressing a packed audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, Robert Beugré Mambé highlighted the importance of public-private dialogue in shaping a shared vision for sustainable growth. “Your commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s future reflects the confidence you place in our economic potential. As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in building a more competitive and job-creating economy,” he affirmed.

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s decision to position the private sector as the driving force behind economic modernization. “Côte d’Ivoire has demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability in recent years, achieving an average growth rate of 6.5%,” he noted. “This positions us among Africa’s most dynamic economies, offering a thriving market for investors.”
He outlined priority sectors for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition
- Strategic infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to boost competitiveness
- Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy
The Prime Minister recalled that the first day of the consultative group, focused on institutional partners, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.
private sector voices echo strong support
Leaders from major business confederations and financial institutions reaffirmed their backing for Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), along with Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s CGEM and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030. Their statements reflected deep confidence in the government’s vision and determination to contribute meaningfully to its implementation.
