Major security sweep in N’Djamena’s 10th district yields significant arrests

A comprehensive joint security effort in N’Djamena resulted in 447 arrests and the confiscation of various weapons. Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache commended the dedication of the security forces involved.

Law enforcement agencies recently conducted an extensive combined inspection and search operation across N’Djamena’s 10th district. This significant initiative brought together personnel from the Gendarmerie Nationale, Police Nationale, GNNT, and various specialized units. The entire undertaking was overseen by Police Controller General Tougoud Digo Maïdé and Divisional General Djiddo Mahamat Haggar, with Minister of Public Security Ali Ahmat Aghabache also present on site.

The operation’s outcomes were substantial, encompassing the confiscation of illicit weaponry and unregistered vehicles. Furthermore, authorities detained 165 foreign nationals lacking proper documentation and 282 Chadian citizens unable to produce valid identification. Following the successful execution, Minister Aghabache lauded the exceptional professionalism demonstrated by the participating security personnel.
