National funding delivers critical logistical upgrade

The Ministry of Security and Civil Protection has bolstered Mali’s security infrastructure by distributing twenty vehicles and specialized equipment, fully financed by national resources. The handover ceremony took place on July 31, where Major General Daoud Aly MOHAMMEDINE presided over the event.

The newly acquired fleet includes six sixty-seat buses, one recovery vehicle, two 20,000-litre Spiros tankers, eight 4,000-litre fire tankers, and three 50,000-litre fire-pump tankers. These assets have been allocated to the National Police, Civil Protection, National Gendarmerie, National Guard, and the Staff School of Security Forces.

Major General MOHAMMEDINE emphasized that these acquisitions reflect the transitional administration’s commitment to enhancing operational capabilities under President Assimi’s leadership. He stressed that advanced logistics are essential for improving mobility and response times against evolving security threats facing the nation.

Civil Protection vows effective asset utilization

Brigadier General Boucary KODIO, Director General of Civil Protection, reaffirmed the recipients’ dedication to maintaining these assets with the highest standards of efficiency. The ceremony concluded with a live demonstration showcasing the fire tankers’ rapid deployment and operational effectiveness in emergency scenarios.
