Leadership at Côte d’Ivoire Énergies (CI-ENERGIES), the state-owned entity steering the nation’s electricity sector, has transitioned to new hands. Traoré Amidou officially assumed the role of director general during a handover ceremony held Friday, July 24, 2026. The event was led by Yves Konan, chair of the board of directors.
The appointment marks the end of Noumory Sidibé‘s nearly five-year tenure at the helm of CI-ENERGIES. During his leadership, the outgoing director general was credited with steering the company through a period of significant growth and transformation in Côte d’Ivoire’s energy landscape.
The board of directors took the opportunity to commend Sidibé‘s exceptional contributions, highlighting his pivotal role in advancing the country’s electricity infrastructure and ensuring reliable power supply nationwide.
As a public utility, CI-ENERGIES remains pivotal in managing and expanding Côte d’Ivoire’s electricity sector, ensuring energy accessibility and sustainability for communities across the nation.
