World Vision Tchad’s Ambitious Plan to Transform 3.29 Million Lives by 2030
N’Djamena – World Vision Tchad has rolled out its groundbreaking five-year strategy (2026-2030) designed to uplift the lives of 3.29 million children across the country, with a special focus on 3.09 million of the most vulnerable. Unveiled during a high-profile press conference in N’Djamena, this initiative represents a 20% increase in scope compared to previous efforts, signaling a new era of commitment to Chad’s youngest citizens.
A Holistic Approach to Child Development
The strategy hinges on an integrated model combining humanitarian aid, sustainable development, and peacebuilding efforts. This three-pronged approach aims to address Chad’s most pressing challenges while creating lasting solutions for future generations.
During the launch event at N’Djamena’s Résidence Hotel, regional director Carla Dominique Denizard emphasized the organization’s vision: « Every child in Chad deserves not just to survive, but to thrive. » She highlighted how the strategy aligns with continental and international frameworks, including Chad’s Vision 2030 and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, while addressing Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, and 16.
Five Pillars of Change
The ambitious plan centers around five key priority areas:
- Nutrition & Health: Strengthening integrated health systems with special focus on maternal and child health
- Education Revolution: Expanding the Unlock Literacy program to build foundational reading skills in early education
- Child Protection: Implementing comprehensive measures against all forms of violence targeting children
- Climate Resilience: Building community capacity to withstand environmental challenges and climate shocks
- Social Protection: Developing robust safety nets to combat multidimensional poverty affecting 42% of Chad’s population
Edouard Ngoy Wangoy, National Director of World Vision Tchad, described the launch as « a historic moment » for both the organization and Chad’s children. He underscored the strategy’s potential to transform lives in a country grappling with persistent poverty, recurring humanitarian crises, and the escalating impacts of climate change.

The strategy presentation concluded with an impassioned appeal to all national stakeholders. World Vision Tchad is rallying public authorities, technical partners, financial backers, civil society organizations, religious leaders, community representatives, and media outlets to join forces in implementing this vision.
