On June 2, 2026, the Kingdom of Morocco took center stage at the Konsularischer Abend in Düsseldorf, marking a pivotal moment in Morocco-Germany relations as both nations celebrated their 70-year diplomatic partnership before 300 political and economic leaders.
During the event, Consul General Boutaina Bouabid and Secretary General Ismail Lamghari of Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the robust strategic partnership between Rabat and Berlin. They also underscored the vital role of the Moroccan diaspora in Germany, acting as a cultural and economic bridge between the two countries.
Supported by the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), the high-level gathering showcased Morocco’s modern achievements, rich heritage, and vibrant traditions. Highlights included a fashion display of traditional caftans and a live Gnawa musical performance, illustrating the country’s cultural depth and creative dynamism.
The evening reaffirmed the shared commitment of both nations to deepen their diplomatic, economic, and cultural cooperation for the long term.
