Diplomatic engagement at the UN
In a gesture of mutual respect and cooperation, Omar Hilale, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the UN and current Chair of the Peacebuilding Commission, welcomed Leonor Zalabata Torres, Colombia’s UN Ambassador and presiding officer of the Security Council for June 2026. The meeting, held in New York, served as a platform to discuss ways to enhance synergy between both UN bodies.
