Canada and Togo deepen ties in trade, education, and security
Ms. Myriam Montrat, newly appointed Canadian Ambassador, outlined her nation’s priorities for the Togo mission. With a background in inclusive growth at Global Affairs Canada, she emphasized strengthening economic ties, advancing education and healthcare initiatives, and promoting gender equality.
Highlighting regional security concerns, she stated, “Canada stands ready to support Togo in peacekeeping and security efforts, recognizing its pivotal role in West African stability.”
Pakistan eyes agricultural and technological partnerships with Togo
Pakistan’s envoy, Mr. Najeeb Durrani, outlined a bold vision for bilateral cooperation. With experience in Middle Eastern diplomacy, he aims to expand ties beyond traditional sectors, focusing on agriculture, technology, and economic diversification.
“Our mission will prioritize political, economic, and security collaborations, aligning with Togo’s strategy to engage with key Asian economies,” he noted.
Ghana and Togo strengthen cultural and security bonds
Mr. George Kofi Nfojoh, Ghana’s new Ambassador, highlighted the deep cultural and historical ties between the two nations. “We share a common heritage and face shared challenges. Closer cooperation is essential for our collective prosperity,” he remarked.
A former lawmaker, he stressed the importance of cross-border trade and mobility while pledging enhanced security collaboration to address regional threats.
